NASA

NASA has announced two missions to Venus to examine the planet’s atmosphere and geological features. The last US spacecraft to visit the planet was the Magellan orbiter in 1990. Bill Nelson, the NASA administrator, said the missions would offer the “chance to investigate a planet we haven’t been to in more than 30 years”.

These two sister missions both aim to understand how Venus became an inferno-like world, capable of melting lead at the surface,” Bill Nelson said on Wednesday.

The first mission the Davinci+ (Deep Atmosphere Venus Investigation of Nobel gases, Chemistry, and Imaging) will be going to measure venus’s atmosphere to gain information about how it formed and evolved. And also going to research whether Venus had an ocean.

The second mission Veritas (Venus Emissivity, Radio Science, InSAR, Topography, and Spectroscopy) will map the planet’s surface and its geological history and investigate how it developed so differently than earth.

It is astounding how little we know about Venus, but the combined results of these missions will tell us about the planet from the clouds in the sky through the volcanoes on its surface all the way down to its very core,” said Tom Wagner.

Alyssa Carson is going to become the first person on Mars. Alyssa Carson, aged just 20 going to become the first human being ever land on the surface of Mars.

“I first got interested in space when I was really young. Obviously, I don’t remember everything when I was that young, but my dad does remember me coming and having some questions about space and about Mars,” Alyssa told.

Mars has been Alyssa’s dream and she’s the only person who attended every NASA Space camp. NASA aims and plans to land the first human on Mars in the 2030s.

The perseverance rover will be expected to search for signs of life and measure Mar’s weather and water conditions.

The whole the reason why we went to the moon was because there was so much public interest around it,” Carson said. “I definitely think that Mars kind of needs that same push. So it’s kind of either teaching or inspiring or helping people to either want to get involved in the space program in some way or just want to support it.

South Korea recently became the country joined the Artemis Accord. But what is Artemis Accord means. The Artemis Accords by NASA in 2020, is to establish a set of principles or Law relating to the exploration of space. According to NASA, the rules and accords is in existence is to create a safe environment into space, which facilitates exploration and technological advancements and all commercial activities for all human.

South Korean minister of science and ICT - Lim Hyesook signed all Artemis Accords.

South Korea is not only the one who signed it, the accords have already been signed by Canada, Japan, United Kingdom, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Luxembourg, Italy and the United States of America.

The Artemis mission brings us back to the lunar surface for not only discovering but for staying firstly the scientists for long period of time.

The accords reinforce that space resource extraction will be conducted under the protection of the Outer Space Treaty. Many space exploration agencies already looking for places in another planets to extract new resources and minerals.

The rules are clear that the protection and preservation of sites and artifacts will be just important in space.

Artemis Accords also calls for plans for the mitigation of space debris and also for the disposal of spacecraft at the end of their missions. Which is very important for the future of earth.

 Apollo 11

Apollo 11 was the first human mission that landed human beings on the surface of Moon. Neil Armstrong became the first human to step onto the surface of Moon. Buzz Aldrin (lunar module pilot) and Neil Armstrong, both spent about two and a quarter hours together outside the spacecraft, and collected 47 pounds of Moon surface material to bring back to Earth. And Command module pilot Michael Collins who flew the Command Module alone in orbit of moon while they were on the Lunar Surface.

In 2014 a discussion hosted by Aldrin “Ask Me Anything” is on trend when a person questioned Aldrin “Do you believe in aliens and what are the sightings you saw aboard Apollo 11?” with a description of “a light out the window that appeared to be moving alongside us”

Buzz Aldrin wrote “There were many explanations of what that could be, other than another spacecraft from another country or another world – it was either the rocket we had separated from, or the 4 panels that moved away when we extracted the lander from the rocket and we were nose to nose with the two spacecraft”.

What you think? Is that light out of window is really alien spaceship or a lunar satellite? Comment Below! I personally think that whether it would true or not but moon landing did affect the public point of view of extraterrestrial life or Aliens. Apollo missions showed that we could travel from one planet to another on a rocket and aliens could too.

 Golden Disc In Voyager 1

NASA had launched VOYAGER 1 in 1977, and left the Solar System in November 2004. The Voyager is carrying a Golden Disc a gold plated copper disk 12 inch contains many information about Earth and diversity of life and culture on Earth.

The Voyager Golden Record contains sounds and images selected to display the Diversity of Life and Culture on Earth. These records are like a Time Capsule for any intelligent extraterrestrial life who may find them.

The contents of the records includes songs of birds and whales. Spoken greetings in 55ancient and modern languages. Variety of natural sounds such as those made by surf, wind, thunder, and animals. And more like other human sounds, footsteps, and laughter. The record also includes a message from US president.

The collection of photographs includes images and diagrams both in black and white, and colour. The first scientific images showing mathematical and physical quantities of the solar system and its planets, human anatomy and reproduction, and DNA. Pictures of humanity and also some of animals, insects, plants and landscapes. Some images shows food, architecture, and humans day to day lives.

The Golden Record also have an hour long recording of the brainwaves. The 115 images are encoded in form and composed of 512 lines.

The record is constructed of gold plated copper and its cover is aluminium and electroplated with uranium-238. Uranium has a half life of 4 billion years. The records also had the inscription “ To the makers of music – all worlds, all times”.

In a left hand corner of this record, there is a drawing of phonograph record. The drawing indicates that the record should be played from the outside in. The information of the cover is designed to show how pictures are to be constructed from signals. The pictures are made from these signals which traces the picture as a series of vertical lines, similar to analog television. Colour Images were representd by three images in sequence, one each for red, green and blue components of the image.
